Below are 29 things you must know about the new CAC AI Registration Model. Should You Plan To Incorporate Your Business In Nigeria? Please Take Note Of The Following
- 1. Business Name or Company name registration is now fully AI-Prompt automated and instant
- 2. Once your payment is successful and all details are correct, your Business name certificate can be out in 10 to 20 minutes.
- 3. Business/Company Name name reservation is also instant
- 4. Both Business And Company name reservations are now instant, too. No more waiting days for approval
- 5. However, Company registration still takes between 14 to 21 working days
- 6. Company documents are still reviewed manually by CAC officers before final approval
- 7. NGO name reservation and registration still follow the old manual process
- 8. NGO registration can take between 30 to 60 days
- 9. Post-incorporation filings, such as Annual Returns, Change of Directors, Change of Address, Share Capital Increase, and others, still follow the old approval method
- 10. Only Business Name registration enjoys full automation with the new AI Model for now
- 11. Uploading documents is more structured. Each file must be uploaded separately into its proper field
- 12. File format must be PDF or JPEG. Any other format, sorry, such files will be rejected

- 23. This means you should avoid using the public portal for now. Use the agent portal instead
- 24. Clients now receive automated email updates once their name is approved or rejected
- 25. Payment receipts and CAC documents are now downloaded directly from the dashboard. Nothing will be sent via email
- 26. Combining all documents into one file is no longer allowed. Upload them individually under the correct sections
- 27. Receipt is generated instantly after payment is made
- 28. Losing your login access is still a big issue. Recovery is not guaranteed. Always double-check your email and keep it safe
- 29. Agents must guide their clients clearly and avoid errors. One mistake can cost the entire process
