As of today, being the 11th day of August 2025, the federal government of Nigeria, through its ongoing recruitment program CDCFIB, has revealed that 1.9 million Nigerians applied for the 2025 paramilitary recruitment.

Among the top states with the highest number of applicants is Kogi state, leading with 116,188 applicants

Followed by Kaduna state and Benue state, followed closely with over 110,000 applicants each, while states like Lagos and Bayelsa recorded significantly fewer applications in this 2025 CDCFIB stated applicants.

While state-by-state shortlisted candidates will be released any time soon, successful applicants will also be contacted soon.

The federal government announces the number of people from every state who have applied for the 2025 paramilitary jobs.

As FG begins nationwide recruitment, it will interest you to know that the Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), operating under the federal government, has announced the commencement of a new nationwide recruitment exercise, and the application process has come to an end as of today, 11th August 2025.

It was expected that a great number of Nigerians would be recruited this year, as the recruitment drive covered multiple entry-level and professional positions across Nigeria’s Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services.

According to the official notice, eligible candidates were invited to apply for the distinct CDCFIB recruitment categories of roles in immigration, fire services, correctional, defence corps, and board services.

As the application portal closed today, the application portal remained open and accessible via http://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

Before now, prospective candidates were advised to complete their applications before the deadline of August 4th, which was extended to August 11th, 2025, in order to be considered for any of the roles on offer.

This figure was disclosed on Monday, August 11, by the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) at the conclusion of the application period.

As seen above, Kogi state, Kaduna state, and Benue state, just these three states, accounted for a significant share of the overall applications received nationwide.

Wide disparity in applications across states. The data also revealed a sharp contrast in the number of applicants from various states.

While some states had large numbers of applicants, others recorded much lower figures. Lagos state had 14,216 applicants, Bayelsa recorded the fewest with 11,669, while Rivers and Ebonyi also had relatively low turnouts.

As recorded in total, the recruitment exercise attracted 1,911,377 applications across the country, reflecting the high level of interest in joining Nigeria’s paramilitary services.
