Nnamdi Kanu And IPOB Never Ordered The No Election In Anambra, Sen Abaribe
EXPOSED: Sen Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, the Senate Minority Leader representing Abia South, Abia State Nigeria, claims that Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), never for once gave the order of no election in Anambra
Senator Abaribe claimed that the order of no election is not coming from Kanu or IPOB, neither are Biafra agitators behind such order, to him, whoever has made such order is an enemy of the state as such order is never in the general interest of the Igbo
The planned conduct of the governorship election in Anambra State on November 6th has sparked controversy across the nation as the insecurity situation in the eastern part of Nigeria worsen many fears that voters may likely not come out on the day of the election though to fear of being killed by unknown gunmen
According to rumors circulating the net, IPOB has declared that the upcoming election will be canceled and from the 30th of September being today the entire Anambra will be a no go area
While on the other news, IPOB, on the other hand, has denied issuing such a directive, claiming that it has nothing to do with Nigeria’s electoral system.
Meanwhile, the separatist group in Anambra State has announced a sit at home beginning from November 5th. To them, the order is intended to persuade the Federal Government to free Kanu who is in detention
Kanu’s lawyers acknowledged that the order was not issued by the IPOB leader, according to him.
“Who decided that no election would be held? IPOB has never stated that Anambra will not hold elections. “It’s the work of the fifth columnists,” Abaribe explained
