Digital literacy is possible across Nigeria as “UBEC” SIGNS MOU to provide 47 million Nigerian pupils students teachers with laptops and tablets, schedules to be distributed across the nation.
Millions of Nigerian children and teachers will soon have access to classrooms without walls, a classroom well-equipped with digital learning computers for both students and tearchers.
The Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, partners with Digital Learning Network to transform learning through technology, including AI literacy. A new Memorandum of Understanding paves the way for a National Digital.
The Education Transformation Project is designed to bring the classroom closer to every Nigerian child. The initiative targets more than 47 million students and teachers in pre-primary, primary, and junior secondary schools across the nation.
With laptops and tablets pre-loaded with digital textbooks and interactive lessons, pupils in both urban and rural areas will be able to learn at the same pace, using tools aligned with the Nigerian curriculum.
The move promises to bridge learning gaps, spark creativity, and give every child an equal chance to succeed. UBEC will drive the process by ensuring that the curriculum is properly integrated while coordinating smooth implementation across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory. Nigeria
